From the moment we are born until the day we die we stand in need of help so that we may pull through successfully. The Lord’s Ascension

As we face each day with the trials that stand in our way, we have to think beyond the present to the glorious future when all shall be well. This weekend we celebrate the Lord’s Ascension. It is God’s victory in action. We pray that as we share in this glory of the Lord Jesus, God may fill us with the strength to endure the trials so that we may inherit the promise.

Keeping Christ’s Word

From all that we see and all that we know it is clear that our relationship with God is not really where it should be. Even as we claim to be Christians we see a lot of self will and self deception in our words and behaviors, that it is difficult to say exactly where we stand. Today, again, God speaks to us in the words of his son. Let us take this time to reflect on what God’s commandments mean to us and where stand in our relationship with him.

In the Footsteps of Christ

Every group has a special mark that differentiates it from other groups. They have a distinctive quality by which they are known. In today’s reflection the Lord Jesus tells us who we are and the supreme quality by which he wants us to be known. Let us pray for the grace to fit into this shoe of faith and sincerely live the Christian life that the master calls us to live.

The Reward of Faithfulness

God’s Mercy and Compassion

When we receive a treasure it is not enough to rejoice that we have it. We must also think of how we will make it last. For us Christians, the Resurrection is God’s most precious blessing. It gives us our Christian identity as we have been so blessed. We must reach out to others and share the blessing. Let us listen to the Lord Jesus and pray for the grace to be true ambassadors of our faith.

The Cross and the Crown

I want us to walk that over-beaten path again in the story of the cross that leads to the crown. Yes, we have heard it over and over again, but how much it has sunk in is what I cannot say. As we are about to enter the greatest week in the life of the church, let us stop and reflect on what Christ has done for us and pray for the grace to keep the faith to the end.

Friendship with Christ and the Miracle of Life

The truth about our Christian life is that if we place ourselves on the path of life we shall receive the blessings of life at our time of need. It may not come when we want it to come, but it shall come as long as we keep the faith. In the Gospel passage today we see a family who became friends with Jesus. When the storm of life rose up and knocked them down the Lord Jesus was there to comfort them and fulfill their hope. Let us reflect on the raising of Lazarus from the dead and see what God can do for us if we keep the faith.

The Wonder of God’s Love
